The Alannah & Madeline Foundation provides support through practical assistance to child victims of violent crime (physical, emotional or sexual abuse) or sudden family loss through its Children Ahead Program. The Foundation also runs the Better Buddies Program, an anti-bullying initiative for schools.

Dads Club was born out of the insight that the vast majority of dads want to be active and involved parents but sometimes don’t know where to turn to for practical, non judgmental and entertaining information.

The site is written by dads for dads. It does not push any fatherhood agendas.This independent site is written for Aussie dads, delivering practical information without any fluff.

Dads@Lifeline

Dads@Lifeline supports fathers and their children after separation and/or bereavement. The service has been in operation for over 20 years and provides a relevant, specialised service that is in high demand.

Dads@Lifeline is funded by the Department for Community Development and tops-up that funding by charging fees on a sliding scale (according to income). We provide:

  • Counselling and support for separated and bereaved fathers and their children;
  • Family Law and Child Support information and assistance (not legal advice);
  • Information DVD's and videos on self-care after separation, the family law system and child support;
  • 'The Secret Life of Men' - a weekly group to discuss men's issues; (click for poster & pamphlet)
  • A Peer-Support Program linking recently separated dads to a volunteer for 1:1 support;
  • Occasional social activities and newsletters for Dads and their kids.


European Fatherhood
This website is dedicated to presenting new knowledge and best practice for improving gender equality for fathers. Our goal is to promote and assist professionals involved in promoting and supporting men in their role as fathers. The need for knowledge concerning the psychological transition to fatherhood and an examination of methods to overcome gender stereotypes and obstacles to parental leave is also a priority.


Fatherhood Institue.
The Fatherhood Institution is the UK's national information centre for fatherhood. It is a charity (reg. no. 1075104) founded in 1999 by professionals with expertise in social work, family policy, business development and communications. The Institute's vision is for a society that gives all children a strong and positive relationship with their father and any father-figures; supports both mothers and fathers as earners and carers; and prepares boys and girls for a future shared role in caring for children.

My Daddy Matters Because...
This site has been created as part of “My Daddy Matters Because…”, also known as the National Project Fund on Fathering that is funded by Health Canada's National Project Fund. The primary purpose of this site is to provide information for people who are developing and managing Father programs in their communities.

Parenting Resource Centre
The Parenting Research Centre engages in a range of research activities to help parents raise children well. Our focus is generating new knowledge of how parenting practices affect children, and how best to engage and support parents in this rewarding but often challenging task.


Pathways Foundation
The Pathways Foundation assists the transition from boy to young man - a critical period for any teenage boy - and promotes strong father and son relationships.
Pathways inspires boys to have a vision and reach their potential. Our men and women facilitators believe that boys benefit from having men as role models, confidants, mentors, heroes and friends. We journey with them as they develop their male identity and grow into balanced integrated men. Programs running around Australia since 1995 are for all boys between 12 and 15 years of age.
Mother and Daughter Programs are also conducted.

Single with Children
Single with Children is an exciting non-profit organisation, run by volunteers, that provides adult and family social activities and functions every week. These functions are catered for single parents and their children in Sydney.All single parents, both male and female, are welcome to join Single with Children


Sole Parents Union
Sole Parents’ Union is a non-profit community advocacy organisation that works on behalf of all sole parents, representing their views and issues to government. We work on behalf of both female and male sole parents, share-care parents, and children.
